Problem Note 53974: SAS® LASR™ Analytic Server might incorrectly distribute records in HDFS when using the SQUEEZE=YES compression option in SAS® 9.4 M2
In SAS 9.4 M2, the SAS LASR Analytic Server SAS Data in HDFS engine (SASHDAT) introduces a new option (SQUEEZE=YES) to compress data written to Hadoop's distributed file system, HDFS.
In some situations, this option might incorrectly distribute records written to HDFS by the SASHDAT engine.
To avoid this problem, omit the SQUEEZE=YES option and write data to HDFS without compression.
Sites running
SAS® In-Memory Statistics for Hadoop 2.2 (SAS 9.4 M2) might experience this problem if the SQUEEZE=YES option is used.
To resolve the problem, upgrade the TKGrid component to version 2.9.
Note that TKGrid 2.9 is supplied with SAS Visual Analytics and SAS Visual Statistics 7.1.
SAS Visual Analytics and
SAS® Visual Statistics 7.1 deployments are susceptible to this problem only if TKGrid version 2.8 is installed.
You can determine the TKGrid version by viewing the contents of the
TKGrid/VERSION file.
